MINHA PAK

박민하는 사진을 믿는다. 암실에서 사진이 물에서 길어 올려지는 존재라는 것을 알게 된 후, 알 수 없지만 말하는 무언가를 믿게 되었다. 통제적으로 촉감을 전달하다가도 멀리 물러나 최대한 많은 것을 품으려 한다. 엉거주춤한 자세와 태도로 피사체와 함께 헤매기를 자처하며 마음을 열어두는 스토퍼를 보물로 한다. 사진을 보고-발견하고-찍고-만지는 하나의 경험으로 이해하고 스스로를 설득하며-오래오래 궁금해하고-하고싶은 작업들을 계속 하고자 한다. 

Minha Pak believes in photography. After learning that photographs are beings drawn up from water in the darkroom, she came to believe in something unknown yet speaking. While at times conveying tactility with control, she also steps back to embrace as much as possible. She treasures an openness that acts as a stopper, choosing to wander together with her subjects in an awkward posture and attitude. Understanding photography as a single experience of seeing, discovering, taking, and touching, she persuades herself, remains curious for a long time, and continues to pursue the work she wishes to do.
