NokENok 녹이녹 - 내 옷은 냄새가 없다. (CD)
녹이녹은 최창희, 박희수, 성창준, 김동현으로 이루어진 포스트락 밴드이다. 이번 앨범은 한국 포스트락 메들리, EBS 2026 5월의 헬로루키 선정, Condor44 내한공연의 서포트 액트, 밴드의 기획공연 Fake Product등으로 리스너들에게 인지도를 오며 활동을 이어오던 녹이녹의 첫 풀랭스 앨범이며 멤버들의 노스텔지어와 성장을 10개의 트랙으로 담아냈다.
녹이녹은 2000, 2010년대의 포스트락을 듣고자란 이들의 밴드이다. 한국의 비둘기우유, 아폴로 18, 모즈다이브, 속옷밴드, 불싸조, Da Pluto, 선결부터 일본의 Toe, Te’, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, mudy on the 昨晩, A Picture of Her, Bump of Chicken에 이르기까지, 서로의 음악적 취향을 공유하며 밴드를 시작했고 그 명맥을 이어 나가고자 한다.
Toe의 1집이 그러했듯, 그리고 불싸조와 속옷밴드의 앨범들이 그러했듯 녹이녹 역시 첫 정규 앨범을 최대한 자체적인 힘으로 제작하고자 했다. 기존에 발매한 더블 싱글 [Moment]의 수록곡 2곡의 재녹음본을 포함해 전곡을 멤버들이 직접 녹음하고 믹싱하며 음악적 독립성과 진정성을 더했다. 오롯이 녹이녹이 추구하는 소리를 표현하는 데 집중했으며, 특히 기타의 질감과 사운드의 공간감을 정교하게 구현해 냈다.
이번 앨범은 1번 트랙 '여름방학'과 6번 트랙 '내 옷은 냄새가 없다.'를 더블 타이틀로 내세운다. 유년 시절의 향수를 자극하는 서사와 지금을 살아가는 이들의 정체성에 대한 고민을 각각의 타이틀곡에 투영해 청자들의 공감을 이끌어내려 한다.
“옷은 갈아입을 수 있지만 사람은 갈아입을 수 없듯, 지나온 시간은 결국 한 사람의 냄새가 된다. 이 앨범은 특별한 누군가의 이야기가 아닌, 지나간 뒤에야 의미를 갖게 되는 우리 모두의 순간들에 대한 기록이다. 앨범이 끝난 뒤 당신에게도 어떤 소중한 순간 하나가 조용히 떠오르기를 바란다”는 말을 앨범의 소개글로 적었다. 녹이녹은 인스트루멘탈 밴드이다. 직접적인 가사로 소통하지 않기 때문에 청자 각자의 기억으로 이 곡들이 기억되었으면 하는 마음을 담았다.

This album is their first full-length release, following a series of activities that have introduced them to listeners, including the Korean Post-Rock Medley, being selected as an EBS Hello Rookie for May 2026, supporting Condor44 on their Korean tour, and hosting their own showcase Fake Product. Across ten tracks, the album captures the members’ nostalgia and growth.
NokENok is a band formed by musicians who grew up listening to post-rock from the 2000s and 2010s. Sharing their musical tastes, which range from Korean bands such as Pigeons Milk, Apollo 18, Mozdive, Underwear Band, Bulssazo, Da Pluto, and Seongyeol to Japanese artists including Toe, Te’, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, mudy on the 昨晩, A Picture of Her, and Bump of Chicken, they began the band with a desire to carry this musical lineage forward.
Following the example of Toe’s debut album, as well as albums by Bulssazo and Underwear Band, NokENok sought to produce their first full-length album as independently as possible. The members recorded and mixed every track themselves, including new recordings of two songs from their previously released double single [Moment], adding to the album’s musical independence and authenticity. They focused entirely on expressing the sound they sought as NokENok, paying particular attention to the texture of the guitars and the spatial qualities of the sound.
The album features two title tracks: “Summer Vacation,” track 1, and “My Clothes Don’t Smell,” track 6. The two songs reflect, respectively, a narrative that evokes nostalgia for childhood and questions surrounding the identity of those living in the present, inviting listeners to connect with their own experiences.
The album’s introduction states: “Clothes can be changed, but people cannot be changed like clothes; eventually, the time we have lived through becomes a person’s scent. This album is not the story of someone special, but a record of moments that only acquire meaning after they have passed. We hope that, when the album ends, a precious moment of your own quietly comes to mind.” NokENok is an instrumental band, and because they do not communicate through direct lyrics, they hope that these songs will ultimately be remembered through each listener’s own memories.
